University of Foreign Language Studies – the University of Danang, Vietnam

  • Taught general and academic English to university students of various majors in the University of Danang, Vietnam
  • Conducted my own research and supervised student research
  • Designed language tests and assessed learners’ language performance
  • Acted as a learning advisor to promote learner autonomy and learning strategies
  • Worked as a trainer in training courses for primary and secondary English teachers who wanted to improve their English and language teaching skills

Part-time English Language Tutor

English Proficiency Program, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand

  • Taught grammar and sentence structures to speakers of other languages who were studying English to meet undergraduate or postgraduate entry requirements

Part-time Language Support Tutor

English Language Training for Officials (ELTO) Africa Program, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand

  • Supported African officials in English vocabulary learning
  • Assisted those officials in preparing for and practicing presentations on various issues of their countries such as population and education

Part-Time Bilingual Teacher Aide

  • Supported Vietnamese learners from year 2 to year 7 who had just moved to the school in New Zealand with using English in their daily activities at school
