ABSTRACT
We present the results of silvicultural and dendrological characteristics of treesand shrubs in the reserve «Yuntolovo», which is the first specially protected area ofSt. Petersburg regional significance, where it is not stored in certain types of plants,and the whole apartment complex nature. Landscape structure of the reserve includesa natural-territorial complexes, characterizing coastal, wetlands ecosystems,developing the natural laws of nature. Since its territory is located on the flat lowlandthe Gulf of Finland with an altitude terrain 0–9 m above the level of the Baltic Sea,and also is limited in the north of the natural projection Litorinal terraces, theplanting of the reserve are the «standard of the coastal forests.» On this territorybefore the creation of the reserve were peat, in 80 years of the last century minedsand shoals Lahti spill reclamation for urban area and outside the borders of thereserve is currently under intensive construction land high-rise buildings, residentsare using reserve for recreational purposes. All these factors have influenced thecomposition of the landscape vegetation reserve. According to the research identifieddifferent categories of land with different humidity and composition of trees andshrubs. Identified areas of land occupied by the dominant species in the taiga zoneand silvicultural-listed dendrological characteristics of trees and shrubs and theireconomic importance. According to the research proposed silvicultural measures topreserve the stability of trees and shrubs in a given habitat. Recommended activitiesand silvicultural characteristics of trees and shrubs can be useful Directorate ofProtected Areas of St. Petersburg for the annual planning of work in the reserve«Yuntolovo».
