ABSTRACT
Specially protected natural areas (PAs) are land, water surface and airspace above them, where natural complexes and objects are located that have a special nature protection, scientific, cultural, aesthetic, recreational and recreational value completely or partially removed from economic use , for which the special protection mode is set. At the beginning of 2016 in St. Petersburg there are 15 specially protected natural areas of regional importance - 8 state nature reserves and 7 natural monuments, a total area of 6 143 hectares (Давиденко, 1962). One of them is the state monument of nature "Komarovsky coast". It was established in 1992, approved by the decision of the St. Petersburg City Council of April 22, 1992, No. 97 [1] and became one of the first monuments of nature in St. Petersburg. It is a unique, irreplaceable natural complex, valuable in ecological, scientific, cultural and aesthetic respect. The monument is located in the village of Komarovo Resort area of St. Petersburg, its area is 180 hectares. Natural complexes of the northern coast of the Gulf of Finland are represented here: sandy marine spits, low sand dunes, black alder forests, spruce and spruce-pine forests, and preserved sections of spruce forests (Yаrmishko, 1995) [12]. A monument was created to preserve spruce forests and coastal dunes of the Gulf of Finland. The authors of the article studied the composition, the ratio of land and the location of trees and bushes of plants in the monument "Komarovsky coast" for its functional zoning of the land of the monument. With the help of the MapInfo information system, a map of the functional zoning of the monument lands was formed.
