ABSTRACT
Traditionally, ancillary market is supported by a lotof conventional generators to produce or use reactive power withthe purpose enhance voltage stability. However, in recently years, with the penetration of new wind generations (Double Fed InductionGenerator (DFIG) and Direct Drive Synchronous Generator(DDSG)) and through different set of control possibility, windpower plants are able to partly participate in the provision ofthe ancillary market for control frequency and voltage. However, economic issue is one of a particular big challenge. Therefore, this paper study the method to calculate the price of reactivepower with the purpose support wind farm provide reactivepower in order to increase voltage stability for power systembased on locational marginal price. This study used the PowerWorld Program to simulate wind generator (DFIG) and calculatethe locational marginal price. A sample wscc 9bus Wind-DFIGis used to show the change of benefit of wind generator whenthe increasing load is applied.
