 A proposed algorithm to detemine hosting capacity of distribution network

Today, solar energy has great potential and is, therefore, being promoted for use not only in Vietnam but also worldwide. In particular, households with rooftop solar energy can sell excess energy to the power company, which is being noted for strong development. However, the development of rooftop solar will have some negative effects on the distribution grid if the selling capacity from households is too large. PV rooftop is a part of distributed resources. Thus the paper will discuss distributed resources in general. In this paper, an iterative algorithm that determines the maximum number of distributed resources that can penetrate into the grid is developed in the Matlab environment. The proposed model is tested with a simple distribution grid to determine the hosting capacity of the distribution grid
ABSTRACT
