ABSTRACT
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are widely used by large enterprises for managing functional and operational areas of the enterprise. Yet recently this trend is changing as ERP systems have also been introduced to the medium and small enterprise environment. The purpose of this research is to examine antecedents that influence the selection of ERP systems as focusing on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam is a good case in point. First, the author focus on ERP system selection in enterprises’ maturity phase. Then, four groups of external factors which influence on choosing ERP systems were exposed and examined. Data were collected from an online survey of 356 SMEs in Vietnam. For analysis, AMOS was used.
