TÓM TẮT
Abietanes are natural products that were isolated from Salvia clinopodioides. In this work, the HOO antiradical activity of ten abietanes was thoroughly evaluated by using computational methods for the first time. It was found that the studied abietanes could exhibit moderate HOO antiradical activity. Considerable antioxidant activity of the abietanes is only predicted in an aqueous solution and not in lipidic environments. Among the studied compounds, aldehyde (10) exhibited the highest HOO radical scavenging activity in the aqueous solution (koverall = 3.72×108 M−1s−1) that is higher than the reference natural antioxidants Trolox, trans-resveratrol, and ascorbic acid.
