TÓM TẮT
Doubly-fed induction generators (DFIG) with variable speed wind turbines are gradu-ally replacing squirrel cage induction generators (SCIG) with fixed speed ones in wind power be-cause of their strong points. There are many differences between these two kinds of induction ge-nerators in operating principle, controlling ability, etc. The paper concentrates on comparison be-tween DFIG and SCIG in torque-slip characteristics in order to derive advanced features of DFIG.
