ABSTRACT
As with any foreign language, teaching Vietnamese as a foreign language requires language teachers to emphasize the importance of creating a communication environment where learners can effectively interact using the target language (Vietnamese). In fact, extracurricular activities in the curriculum help students improve their language skills and knowledge. At the same time, the integration of cultural elements into lessons through extracurricular activities is an inevitable part of teaching Vietnamese to foreigners. In this study, we evaluate the using extracurricular activities to enhance interesting in learning at the university of Da Nang – University of Foreign language studies on the basis of analyzing the survey results of learners' satisfaction with the extra-curricular activities they have participated in. Research results show that integration method learners' Vietnamese communication skills and soft skills have been greatly improved through their participation in these activities.
