This study is aimed at assessing factors contributing to on site soil erosion in Da Tam watershed, Lam Dong province using Geographic Information System (GIS) technique. The main aim in this investigation is how to apply GIS and USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) to estimate on site soil erosion in Da Tam watershed. The results of this research found that the average potential on site soil erosion in Da Tam watershed was 132,736 ton/ha/yr and the on site soil erosion in Da Tam watershed based on existing land use was 17,770 ton/ha/yr.
ABSTRACT
