The Central Highlands is known as a major industrial crop growing and exporting area
in our country with such typical products as coffee, rubber, pepper… Producing agricultural
products for export plays a decisive role in the develoment of this area. In spite of its great
potential, the Central Highlands’ situation of producing agricultural products for export still
remains unstable and unsustainable. This article aims to analyze the reality and the causes of
this lack of sustainability. The results of the analysis serves as a basis for putting forward
suitable directions for the sustainable development of the production of agricultural produce for
export in the Central Highlands.
