The quality of bridges in Viet Nam is topical concern, when the maximum unrestricted legal loads or State routine permit loads exceed the allowable, the bridge must be posted or restricted. This paper provides an overview of the requirements of load rating bridges; the basic concept of structural reliability used in calibration of the Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) and Rating (LRFR) method in according with AASHTO – LRFR.
ABSTRACT
