ABSTRACT
This study present the results of Cd, Pb and Cr contents in soil and water-spinach (Ipomoea aquatic) grew at Van Duong village, Hoa Lien commune, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city. Therefrom, we conduct to assess the human health risk when using water-spinach as daily food. The results showed that the contents of concerned heavy metal: Cd (0.018 mg/kg), Cr (0.650 mg/kg) and Pb (5.854 mg/kg) respectively in all soil samples were not over QCVN 03:2008 and GB 15618:1995 regulations as well. However, the most vegetable samples were contaminated Cd, Pb and Cr when comparing with QCVN 8-2:2011 and GB 2762:2005 regulations. The TCs values of most of heavy metals were greater than 1 and HRI values of all heavy metals were lower than 1 at any sampling location, so that there's no risk of Cd, Cr, Pb to human health when consuming water-spinach collected from Van Duong village.
