Environmental Protection Charge for the contaminant is a managing tool that environmental administrators in Vietnam have been interested in over the recent decade. Compared to the traditional tool "command and control", environmental protection charges help to reduce pollution and propose a more flexible and more cost saving objective for the society. Mineral exploitation is an industry with a lot of negative impact on the environment and society. To limit environmental pollution from mining activities, policy makers in Vietnam have adjusted environmental protection charges for mineral exploitation. In recent years, the government has promulgated and constantly improved the regulations on environmental protection charges for mineral exploitation. This article focuses on analyzing these regulations in Vietnam in the past 10 years.
ABSTRACT
