The topic of supply chain integration has long been concerned as its influences on several aspects of
firm’s operation and performance. Supply chain integration was referred to the extent in which a firm establishes a
form of strategically collaborative relationship and joint management both their internal and cross firm procedures
(Flynn, Hou and Zhao, 2010).
In this field of study, scholars mainly focus on the researches that reveal the impacts of supply chain integration on
firm’s performance and the strategic importance of taking the firm’s supply chain partners into account. However,
the practical evidences regarding the contemporary context of supply chain integration amid enterprises in
developing countries as the initiatives for further studies are missing especially in Vietnam and local regions.
The main objective of this paper is to explore the status quo of supply chain integration among Danang enterprises,
acquiring both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The study seeks to jointly contribute the understanding of
contemporary supply chain integration among firms in developing countries and provides a starting point for future
researches within this area of study.
