ABSTRACT
One of the centran problems on general topology is to establish relationships between various topologycal spaces and metric spaces by means of various mappings. Many kinds of characterizations have been obtained by means of certain k-networks. In 2003, the notion of "$\sigma$-$(P)$-mappings" where $(P)$ is a covering-property is introduced by Y. Tanaka and Z. Li, and then some characterizations for certain quotient $(P)$-images of a metric space had beed obtained.
In this paper, we consider some characterizations of spaces having a locally countable sn-network, and give some characterizations of spaces with a star-countable (resp., locally countable) cs-network by certain (star-countable)-mappings (resp., (locally countable)-mappings) (abbrev., sc-images (resp., lc-images)) of locally separable metric spaces.
