TÓM TẮT
Mechanical properties play a key role in many applications of optical products. PC and PMMA plastic
materials are well known for secondary optics production thanks to their high refractive index. It has been
discovered that the majority of plastic materials rarely possess good tensile and impact properties simultaneously. Recently, PMMA and PC have been taken into account to improve tensile yield and impact
strength. This paper aims to analyze the effects of PC contents and molding conditions on the mechanical
and optical behaviors of injection molded PC/PMMA blends. Experimental tensile yield strength was
verified by previous models. The results show that tensile strength and toughness increase with PC composition of PC/PMMA blends, especially when PC content reaches 80wt.%. The tensile strength largely
enhances before moving to the breakup point. Furthermore, optical behavior characterized by the illumination intensity of the blends greatly depends on the screw revolution of injection molding process
