ABSTRACT
The paper is to provide a framework for developing tourism cluster in global chain perspective. The approach requires employing cluster analysis and analyzing value chain for tourism development in the region. For this purpose, the study has employed cluster analysis to develop tourism cluster profile and production network on knowledge base and innovative milieu. In addition, the study has also analyzed tourism value chain and globalization effects to supply/demand side in tourism marketplace. These analyses provide a basic background for policy makers understanding economic activities, characteristics of competitive cluster and supranational characters in the regional economy, then delivering strategy and policies for tourism cluster development of central Vietnam.
