Nowadays, bio-fuel and substitute fuel are researched widely with various types in many countries, including Vietnam. This paper presents the results of our experimental research on substitute fuel formulated from A92 commercial gasoline with 10% bio-butanol (Bu10). This fuel was tested by Dual Overhead Cam L-4 1.6L DOHC engine used in NUBIRA II vehicle – DAEWOO. Experimental research was conducted in AVL laboratory with transmission dynamometer and other modern facilities. The results show that Bu10 can meet the economic – technical characteristics of engines, ensures the physical – chemical specifications of fuels. By using Bu10, A92 gasoline can be saved more than 10% for future demands on the fossil fuels.
