Nơi đăng: International Conference on Management and Business (COMB 2019); Số: 2019;Từ->đến trang: 188-200;Năm: 2019

TÓM TẮT
In this globalization century, the economic driving forces name global giant supply chains (SCs) rather than epic corporations. Enhancing the performance of SCs is one of the top concerns of both managers and academics. There is an abundant flow of research trying to zoom in every pixel of the portrait, however, most of them are just the tips of an iceberg. Physical and information collaboration in SCs are crucial, though as being considered as a business entity, the financial piece could not be neglected. This paper promotes a handy index, which is synthesized from marketing perspective, to first measure the current financial bank-firm cooperation, since relationship is the pre-condition for any collaboration, directly test with the convenient sample of 212 firms operating in Danang, Vietnam; and present apreliminary conclusion of the bank-firm relationship in the context of Vietnam also. We hope that the index built in this paper would be a useful tool-kit, which could be used to obtain an accurate assessment of the feasibility of financial collaboration in the emerging economy. Generally, as can be seen from the result, bank-firm relationship is weak and lack of long-term commitment due to the transaction-based approach. Drawn from the key patterns in the current situation, the paper also proposes some suggestions to fasten the speed SCF adoption in Vietnam.
