ABSTRACT
Silver nanosized crystallites have been synthesized in ethylene glycol, using a microwave technique. The colloidal silver have been prepared by the reduction of silver nitrate in the presence of SiO2 stabilizer extract from rice husk. TEM images of colloidal silver showed that the particles were sphere shape and the average particle size was about 8 nm to 15 nm. The UV-Vis spectra of received colloidal silver have a peak about 418 nm. Antibacterial activity of prepared colloidal silver was also tested.
