ABSTRACT
Perspectives of users of English on the problem of ownership, varieties of Englishes and their utility purposes are heterogeneous nowadays. The reasons for this differences are due to their perception of sociolinguistics, their background knowledge, and they maybe depend on the educational environment to which they are exposed, as well. During the time we conduct this paper, we interviewed a group of our tertiary students and we found many different but interesting points of view from them. The result of the research paper is especially helpful for not only teachers who are teaching English at University of the central highlands, but also those who are interested in getting to know some information about social, cultural context use of English in the Central Highlands of Vietnam.
