The arcticle presents the necessity of improving English teaching methods in genneral
and English grammar in particular. One of the proposed methods for better teaching and
learning is the application of activities for fun to the teaching process. Moreover, this article
analyses some advantages of using English songs as materials for teaching English grammar to
children from the age of 5 to 10. Then, based on age psychological and cultural features, it
suggests some criteria for choosing a song to teach in order to improve teaching quality and
help children learn better.
