Overall investigation of properties of La1-xPbxMnO has been performed. In this work we presentour study on the structure and properties of PrPb manganites. Pr31-xPbxMnO (x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5) perovskites were prepared by solid state reaction. The X-ray diffraction patterns show that the lattice parameters depend on the Pb content substituted for Pr. The grain size observed by scanning electron microscope increases with Pb content in perovskites. The field-cooled and zerofield cooled thermomagnetic curves measured at low field and low temperaturesexhibit the spin-3glass-like state. From a series of magnetic isotherms, the magnetic entropy changes ∆Sm(T) were determined and varied from the sample to another one. The resistance measurements show that there is insulator-metal phase transition on R(T) curves. Magnetoresistance measurements have been performed and the results are discussed.
