The students’ competency outcomes reflect quality of the university’s training process, hence, universities have been paying special attention to training qualified human resources in terms of competitiveness and capacity to participate in international labor markets. In this study, we assessed the competency outcomes of graduates majoring in Oriental Studies in Viet Nam based on their selfassessment, lecturer's evaluation, and employer's evaluation. The research findings are the basis for determining impacts of the competency outcome assessment on the improvement and development of the Oriental Studies undergraduate training program; thereby recommending solutions for the educational institution to adjust the training program in accordance with the labor needs.
