ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: Along with the development of science and technology in general, the progress in the construction field in particular, the technology of mechanically stabilized earth wall (MSE wall) has been more and more paid attention to the field of construction investment as an effective solution for economic - technical - aesthetic. Currently, in Viet Nam, there is little research on decline in service ability of MSE-W due to reinforcing (metal) corrosion over time. This paper presents some results on stress - strain state, ultimate load of MSE wall in cases of reinforced metal corrosion (rebate section), based on reduced experiment model scale of 1/10 and computational model. The research results can be used as a fundamental reference for design, construction or management companies to propose solutions to maximize work capacity of the material, enhance the stability of MSE wall during the service life.
