Abstract: This paper presents the solution of design, construction the high road embankment on the soft soil. Using the soil cement pile (SCP) by Japanese Technology in GRPS (Geosynthetic-Reinforced and Pile-Supported) system to reduce the settlement, applying for the new Tran Thi Ly Bridge, Danang city, Vietnam. The reasonable design about length and distance of soil cement pile was review and consider applying. More than 1300 SCP with 800mm diameter and 8m to 14m length has been constructed to support the high embankment from 5m to 8m. Two layers of high strength geotextile alternating between compacted coarse sand to transfer load more equally on SCP foundation. Four singles and group seven of soil cement piles has constructed for static load test and quality control. The application has increased technical efficiency, save cost and increase the construction progress in comparison with other methods.
