TÓM TẮT
An efficient soaking process will contribute to enhancing germination productivity and quality of seedlings. The paper presents a research on germination of rice seeds by soaking them in ECA, which activated by intracellular enzymes of rice seeds. The results proved that using two ECA solutions (ECA-anolyte and ECA-katolyte) in specific order could sterilize rice seeds and increase amylase activity in incubation time. As the result, it is possible to promote seeds germination effectively. This investigation also showed that the optimum time of seedling emergence was from 72 to 96 hours and the germinating ratio was 98%, an increase of 18% in comparision with the traditional method.
