ABSTRACT
There have been big changes in flow on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river since operations of hydroelectric reservoirs. The operation of DakMi 4 Hydro-power since 2011 has lead to flow diversion from Vu Gia river into Thu Bon river and affected the flow regime in Vu Gia river downstream. This study evaluated the regime of low-stream flow and assessed low-stream flows at the Vu Gia - Thu Bon downstream under the scenarios of flow discharge of the DakMi 4 hydro reservoir, as well as in the context of considering the climate change, water rising. The assesment results will help to propose adaptive interventions for in the downstream area.
