ABSTRACT
Social equality is one of five factors present in our country’s strategy to develop the nation socially and economically with the ultimate goal: ‘wealth, stability, democracy, equality, civility’. Ensuring social equality is both a goal and a motivation to continue with the social-econimic development of the country today. On the basis of Ho Chi Minh’s stance regarding social equality, this article will analyse the definition and the role of social equality as well as the possible problems with implementing social equality in our country, divided into: social equality with economic development, social equality and equality, as well as the possible conflicts that could arise when implementing social equality in economy, culture, education and healthcare. In Ho Chi Minh’s thought, the implementation of social equality while solving possible conflicts in the interests of individuals and society for the people, is the ultimate goal and the standard of a civilised society
