The Vu Gia - Thu Bon river system in Central Vietnam is one of the most complex river systems in Vietnam in many respects. Problems of natural disasters and man-made disasters occur every year on this river system because it plays an important role in the provinces of Kon Tum, Quang Nam, and Da Nang city. In the dry season, this river system provides fresh water for a large population area, especially Da Nang city. But in recent times, the situation of salty ginseng in this area is quite serious. So, in this work, we research and develop a Decision Support System (DSS) for saline control of the entire Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin in Central Vietnam. This system was able to support the operation of the reservoir system upstream to control the salinity in the downstream areas of the rivers. All monitoring equipment, communication, and calculation center displayed online on the website are researched and built by the authors and their collaborators. This DSS is one of the first systems developed to support real-time salinity control in this region.
