ABSTRACT
The polyaniline (PANI) was synthesized via a polymerization in inverse emulsion at
0oC by using ammonium peroxydisulfate (APS) as oxidant and decylphosphonic acid
(DcPA) as surfactant. This method allows doping simultaneously the DcPA in polyaniline
product. The influence of inverse emulsion polymerization conditions on the polyaniline
morphology was investigated. The precipitation of decylphosphonic acid doped polyaniline-
(PANI-dope-DcPA) was performed in an emulsion whose dispersion phase is n-heptane.
The PANI doped by acid product was characterized by the UV-vis, FT-IR techniques. The
morphology of the polymer was observed by SEM.
