The university–industry partnerships, have been implemented and developed for 30 years in many countries, which lead to an increasing number of academic contributions [1]. In Vietnam, however, between manufacturers and scientists, as well as between industry and universities have no connection at an early stage, that the scientific community does not know what manufacturers need to research that, and the manufacturer does not know scientists can do nothing. This also leads to majority of graduated students often have been rejected from the recruiters for their shortage in practical knowledge and skills. This paper aims to propose some solutions to enhance the scientific research activities between faculties, universities and industries and to promote the joint university- industry partnership as well. The paper is organised as follow: Section I analyses the demand for high-skilled human resources in technological industry in Vietnam. Section II discusses about main causes of the loosen joint university-industry relationship in Vietnam from point of view of the foreign and local enterprises; and from the universities, departments of Telecommunications. The proposed solutions in promoting the university-industry partnership and faculties cooperation will be given in Section III. Finally, Section IV summarises the main results of the analysis.
