ABSTRACT
Designing and developing curriculum is a task that is often mentioned in universities in order to equip learners with necessary knowledge; update and modern, ensure the necessary skills to serve personal work after graduation as well as the orientation of the universities’ output quality standards. The process of innovating education and training in Vietnam has been setting new requirements for the content and curriculum at all levels, training majors in the national education system. In the trend of integration and development processing strongly as today, along with other areas, the higher education in Vietnam is in the process of regional and international integration deeply and comprehensively. This raises requirements for universities in Vietnam to improve training quality standards that gradually reach regional and international quality standards. For this, universities in Viet Nam should have fundamental changes in developing the curriculum approaching to the regional and international quality standards. The article refers to the definition, concept of curriculum, the status of designing and developing of curriculum of universities in Vietnam today, as well as proposes the measures to innovate the curriculum development in universities in Vietnam to meet the regional and international quality standards.
